The first thing I was assigned was to write a report on the results of the "Future of Russia" art project competition for children and young people with disabilities. It went online, and then to the newspaper the next day. Then I called the Pulkovo Observatory and spoke with an astronomer about the disappearance of sunspots. I delved into cryptocurrency when the Bitcoin price fell almost 30%. And yesterday I had a truly interesting meeting with Hero of the Soviet Union, Vice Admiral Rudolf Golosov, who commanded the Pacific Fleet in the 1980s. I visited him at home and met his wife and daughter. He's celebrating his 90th birthday.

Thanks to Alexey Polyakov for the photo.
I had the opportunity to work at the capital's main newspaper, Vechernyaya Moskva. I was impressed from the moment I arrived and met the editor-in-chief Alexander Kupriyanov.

The editorial office is impressive in its scope: an entire floor with numerous individual "aquariums," its own media center, a street-style cafe, and a spacious, bright workspace with a round table for editorial meetings, a screen with 18 plasma TVs, and several dozen correspondents' computers. This is where I'm currently sitting. Everything is constantly moving, because in addition to the weekly edition, the newspaper is published daily, sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the evening.
The newspaper has been published since 1923. Vladimir Mayakovsky (his pass is on the stand in the museum gallery), my fellow countryman Nikolai Aseyev, and many other famous figures worked here. It has its own television broadcast and many projects underway.
